FILMS

the

bramwell sisters

A poetic documentary short film comprises photography, montages, archival imagery and moving images.

In this film, I share an insight into the relationship between my mother, Emma and her sister, Kate. Kate and Emma are born 14 months apart but have been mistaken many times as twins. I wanted to explore how they perceive their individual personalities and overall identity as sisters.

Sound Connections:

wired4music

A commission by Sound Connections for 'The Big Give’ funding application.

This video contains a series of interviews conducted by myself and the Sound Connections Marketing and Communications Coordinator, where we ask young musicians why the Wired4Music program has benefited and encouraged them.

The interviews were filmed and edited by myself and accompanied by Wired4Music archival video clips.

Colours in the dark

A documentary collaboration with filmmaker, Yvetta Sedlakava.

This film is an experimental moving image piece that explores the multi-generational trauma of Yvetta Sedlakova’s family stored in memories. Yvetta looks at the pain of the trauma carried on in her body and responds to it through dance and movement therapy. The film is assisted by an emotionally charged story of her grandmother’s challenging childhood.

The story is narrated by Yvetta’s grandmother, dance pieces performed by Yvetta and filmed by Yvetta and myself.

The filming occurred in a small village south of Brno, Czech Republic in April 2023.
